Falling Down #3

I had no internet service yesterday until late in the day. You would think that would free up a lot of time wouldn't you? No checking out websites, no email, no nothing. But, it didn't. Because I have my sewing machine in the house while G is gone and my computer in the studio, I must have checked it and rebooted a hundred times and just the exercise of going back and forth from place to place probably logged in several miles. And Mazy STILL will not stay in the studio at all. I need Gordon to come home. Thankfully that will happen tomorrow.

Falling Down #3 is complete. It is currently being blocked on the dining room floor. I decided to do it as three quilts and then sew them together. I came up with this because I wanted to quilt them all differently and that seemed to be the best way.

This first section was quilted in blocks; side by side stitching lines and up and down.

The middle section was quilted with just vertical lines.

This third section was quilted horizontally.

Here is the quilt completely finished. I am liking it a lot. The individual panels didn't come out to being the same size and I could have changed that, but decided to leave it in its natural shape.

It was so quiet yesterday with no one to talk to or contact that it made me kinda quiet today. Now that's a first!!!

Oh I love your new quilt. I think it has the effect of 'evolving' and has accomplished this perfectly.

Thanks for the tutorial, quite the eye opener.

As to your doggie not wanting to be in your studio, wonder if the paints bothers her, or some building material which was used?

Very nice....very soft. Makes me want to pet it.

Poor Mazy. Maybe the studio has a ghost??
