More Of Felix

I feel the need to defend the
One commenter called the blanket shabby and they couldn't be farther off the mark. Hotel Felix is the first hotel designed to meet the Silver LEED certification. Everything in the hotel and
it's companion restaurant, Elate, is designed to help the environment. (I love this unassuming sign for the restaurant that looks like it has been around forever instead of months!!) The blanket was not shabby but very natural and organic. Everything possible in the building is organic, renewable and sustainable. Besides being a fantastic place
that has lots of eye candy,
the employees couldn't have been nicer. Truly, everyone in the joint had a smile and that just makes my day.
Even the elevator table was made out of recycled products.

The companion restaurant, Elate, is unassuming, and very cozy. We watched the Emmy's with some staff and had a blast. The restaurant uses the Naturawater system and the food was primo and not the same ole, same ole. The location must have been picked by my BFF Micky. All her favorites were within a block; Starbucks, Walgreens and Portillo's. Michigan Avenue was a mere four blocks away. Do ya think I liked it? Only one drawback and it's a mighty big one; they don't take dogs. Sigh.

Glad you had a good time! Our family recently had a reunion at a hotel where everything and everyone was perfect. I know how you feel! A great time is even greater when the lodging is perfect in every way.

This has nothing to do with the hotel - though I think it looks wonderful.
I was looking at artists exhibiting at the 4th St. Festival in Bloomington, IN, this weekend and saw something you might like on one of the artist's websites.
Check it out

LOL! I love how you come to the rescue of this wonderful hotel and talk about all of it's highlights and then use the word "joint." Too funny.

Oh, and Robinww, love the pig!
