Passing

Yesterday afternoon, will all her kids near, my mom's body gave up. She was taken off the ventilator at 11 and breathed on her own for four hours. We will be celebrating her life today and always.

What a blessing for your mom to have each and every one of you with her during this time. And what a wonderful gift you all gave her to honor her with your presence as she passed from this life to her next life.

My sympathies and prayers to all your family. God bless.

You nine are all 'angels' to send your mother on her way to a much better place. She is ever so grateful for granting her this wish.

Tommy, I saw this poem called Caroline written by Linda Pastan and it made me think of your mom.

She wore
her coming death
as gracefully
as if it were a coat
she'd learned to sew.
When it grew cold enough
she'd simply button it
and go.

She was so lucky to have you all there. My sympathies and prayers to you all.

So sorry for the loss of your mom, Tommy. Even though it was expected it is still hard to deal with the death of a parent. May you be blessed with wonderful memories to keep in your heart.

Oh Tommy,
Your news so saddens me. She is at peace now, her suffering is over. In time you will remember all the wonderful moments you share.
Till I see you, please know that my heart and prayers are with you and your family.

You posted a lovely picture of your mother. I hope this time together united with all of your sibs will be a time of healing while you enjoy remembering your mother and good family times. I'll bet all of the Kane ilk are pretty good story tellers!
