Lake Effect

When you combine tidal waves and sand and snow on a big lake like Michigan, these tunnel caves are formed.  When they are first made you can't see through them and they are like a cave on top of the water,  When the water still whacks away at it, it turns into a tunnel that you can see through.

The waves are relentless and as fast as they make the caves, they take them away.

They don't last very long.  This pictures are all right where the water and beach meet.

In just one day the beach and water change dramatically.  The snow on the water is at least two blocks out onto the water.  Wow.

I guess we won't be doing this today.
