Scary Stuff

Last night we joined up with my brother Dan and his wonderful wife Dori to join in on the festivities in downtown Bradenton for a monthly art walk in the Village of The Arts. Here they are, and aren't they cute? My brother will be sixty in March.

It is a neighborhood that is gradually becoming an artist colony where most of the artists live in the back of the house and have a gallery in the front.  Needless to say, when a house comes up for sale, it's pretty much a given that it will be artsy.  The theme of the monthly event changes every time.  Because the Day of the Dead was just upon us, the theme was skeletons.

They were everywhere, in art, on people, on children,

on clothes.  It was lots of fun and we had a grand outside dinner after.  Try it.  You'll like it.  It takes place on the first Friday of each month.

We actually have an Art Walk the 1st Friday of each month in Flint. It's not the best area, hence, they don't always get a lot of traffic. In Ocala they have 'girls night out' same timeframe where artist sit outside each business showcasing their work. Nice evening out and of course there is always wine to be had!
