Here Chicky Chicky

I can't even believe how much Peggy got done yesterday. She came with 25 chicks and not much else but fabric and quickly made the chicks bloom.

The chicks, for this newborn  quilt (baby Fiona will grace this world in March) were already appliqu├ęd down on white on white fabric when the plane settled down on the runway here.  The corresponding pinwheel block was done here and this  is what it looked like on the design wall with the blocks finished but not sewn together.

Before we hit the sack this is what the quilt looked like, sewn together in rows first, then the rows sewn together.  That was followed by a white on white sashing and an outside border of half square triangles.  Isn't it adorable.

Even the chick eyes are adorable; especially this black dot one that actually has sprouted eyelashes!  And, it's a beautiful day in paradise!
