Can You Even Resist?

This is pretty interesting.  A pattern that Mike is working on has half square triangles in the corners.  Usually directions say to draw a line from corner to corner for the sewing line.  Well Mike decided to forget that and iron the center and sew on the fold line.  Brilliant; way easier and faster.  Yeah!

Saturday we had class of Elmer's Glue Gel resist.  I set up class on the lanai.  We used prepared for dye cotton and silk, cut it to the size we wanted and taped it to the table before 'drawing' with the bottle of glue.

Linda brought some drawings because she swears she cannot draw.  She instead, enlarged parts of photographs and put them down on the table before taping the cotton and/or silk on top of it to follow the lines of the drawing.

It worked real good.  We thought that after lunch we would be able to get out the paints to finish up our
quilt top but it was way too humid and so we are tackling the painting today.  Class is almost in session!
